    They are two different reports. The IER will be used for the external evaluation of the Institute. Elements of the biannual reports may be used in the Internal Evaluation Report, if requested.
  • Does preparation of the biannual QAU reports continue?

    Yes, as usual.
  • How many years of data are used in the IER?

    The number that is requested in the template (4 or 5 years). The most recent complete academic year is usually taken as the starting point.
  • What is the deadline for submitting the IER?

    There is no official deadline but it is recommended that it is submitted as soon as possible so as to cover (partly) the delay that arose in the overall work of the evaluation.
  • On Table ΙΙΙ.2 how is the permanent/temporary staff recorded?

    The Table asks for the total number of members of staff, therefore all permanent and temporary staff.
  • On Table IV.2 how is the temporary staff recorded?

    It is included in the number of other teaching staff.
  • On Table IV.6 how are temporary staff taken into account?

    They are included in the total number of staff.
  • Unit III: Which is the reference year?

    The most recent complete academic year. If the data for the academic year 2013-14 are considered reliable even if they are collected a little before the end of the academic year, it is a good idea to use this as the reference year. In particular for those services for which it is difficult to recover data per academic year, such as perhaps for technical services, supplies, etc. then the related data can be recorded for the calendar year with the appropriate indications in each case.
  • On the Department Identity Table to whom does contract staff refer?

    To the staff on contracts.
  • On the Department Identity Table who is included in the administrative staff?

    All those involved in administrative work, whether permanent staff or staff with open-ended contracts.
  • On the Department Identity Table do Scientific/Laboratory partners concern only the TEI?

  • On Tables IV.2 and IV.6 who are the students?

    All the students who are obliged to follow the educational process (total registered).
  • On Table IV.2 who are the teachers?

    All those categories who have the right to teach in full-time positions.
  • How is the correlation between PD407 contract staff with permanent employment positions determined?

    It is estimated, according to the actual conditions in each Institution.
  • In Table IV.6 who are the technical staff?

    See the observation on the Collated Table on p. 52.
  • Which students are considered degree-holders?

    All those who have successfully completed the conditions for the awarding of a degree.
  • In Table IΙΙ.11 what is defined as a centre of excellence?

    Centres which have been thus accredited. During the initial implementation of the activity in question, centres with such organisation and performance that they could be described as centres of learning excellence may be noted, with the appropriate commentary.
  • In Table IV.3 how is the percentage of students from among those entrants who did NOT complete their studies in v + 2 years defined?

    This is the percentage of students from among those entrants (before ν + 2 years) who did not complete their studies during the year to which the Table refers.
  • In Table ΙΙΙ.2 what do the initial letters in the distribution of staff according to educational levels mean?

    • BE: Basic Education
    • CE: Compulsory Education
    • ME: Middle Education
    • UE: University Education (HΕΙ)
    • TE: Technological Education (TΕΙ)
    ME equates with the Elementary Education of the current categorisation. As for BE, if there is no data then those for CE should be given with a note. It should be noted that the above Table has been adapted according to the above correlation. .
  • In Table ΙΙΙ.2 to whom does the staff category of "others" refer?

    The category "others" refers to Institution staff who are not included in the other categories (e.g. PD 407). University grant-holders are not considered staff, unless they are performing a teaching assistant role, which should be noted in the Comments.
  • What is the normal duration of studies?

    Time limit of N years is considered to be the normal duration of studies.
  • In Table Ia what does "Places offered to Postgraduate students in the Institution (total number)" mean?

    It refers to the total post-graduate student positions offered by the Institution.
